We are proud to represent the rich tradition of Hakata Shochu. Fukuoka is regarded as one of the birthplaces of shochu, with a history stretching back centuries. Over more than 1,000 years of sake brewing tradition, our region developed distinctive sake lees shochu. Combined with barley from the fertile Chikugo Plain—Japan's leading barley-producing region—this heritage gave rise to a remarkable variety of authentic barley shochu.
